Terms of sale and use

Last updated: October 12, 2026

These terms explain how you can use Ramp Up and what happens when you buy access. I have tried to keep them short and clear. If anything is unclear, write to me and I will explain.

2. What Ramp Up is

Ramp Up is an online professional training platform. It teaches web accessibility auditing, starting with RAWeb, the Luxembourg web accessibility framework. It is designed for professionals and organisations: designers, developers, project owners, auditors and their employers, and for anyone who wants to gain these professional skills.

Because Ramp Up is professional training, prices are always shown excluding VAT. VAT is added at checkout when it applies.

3. Your account

To read the courses, you create a free account with your first name and your email address. I send you a link to confirm the address: opening it signs you in, and there is no password to remember.

An account is personal, in the name of a single person: please do not share it. If an account is used by several people, I warn you first; if it goes on, I may suspend it. You are responsible for keeping access to the email address you use, since that is how you sign in.

4. Free modules

Some modules are free. You can read them at no cost with a free account, without giving any payment details. The pricing page lists them.

5. Lifetime access

Lifetime access gives you every Ramp Up course, with its modules, practice audits and quizzes, and every future update, for a single payment.

6. Price and payment

The price of lifetime access is shown on the pricing page, excluding VAT. It goes up as new courses are published. A new price applies only to purchases made after it changes, never to a purchase already made. Payment is made by card through my payment provider, Stripe. I never see or store your card details. You receive a receipt by email.

Each further attempt at a certification project is sold on its own, at the price shown on the pricing page, excluding VAT, for the review time it takes. It adds one attempt to the certification project of that course, and has no time limit.

7. Right of withdrawal

If you buy as a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content, this right ends once you start using the content, provided that you agreed to start straight away and acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal. At checkout, I ask for this agreement before giving you access.

Once you have paid, I email you a confirmation of your purchase, quoting this agreement. Your right of withdrawal then ends the first time you open a lesson, a quiz or the certification project of a paid module; the free modules do not count. Until then, within 14 days of your purchase, you can withdraw and get a full refund: reply to the confirmation email, or write to me.

For a certification attempt, the same applies: you ask for it to be available straight away, I email you a confirmation, and your right of withdrawal ends when you send the audit it pays for. Until then, within 14 days of the purchase, you can withdraw and get a full refund.

I refund you within 14 days of your request, to the card you paid with.

8. If a course does not work

You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content. If a course, a quiz or a practice audit does not work as described, write to me: I fix it within a reasonable time.

9. Certificates

A certificate is issued to the person who has passed the certification project of a course. It attests that they took and passed that course. It is neither a state diploma nor a certification that a website complies.

Every certificate can be verified online. I may cancel a certificate obtained by fraud, for example with an audit that is not yours.

10. Team access

To train several people, contact me and I prepare a quotation. Each licence is for one enrolled person, with their own account. Team access is then governed by these terms and by the quotation you accept; where the two differ, the quotation prevails.

11. Using the content

The course content (texts, visuals, exercises, quizzes and the practice site) is the property of Crofte Studio S.à r.l.-S. You may use it for your own learning and professional practice.

Without my written agreement, you may not:

Texts quoted from RAWeb are published by the Information and Press Service (SIP) of Luxembourg under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Luxembourg licence. They remain under that licence.

12. Availability

I do my best to keep Ramp Up available at all times and working properly, but I cannot guarantee it. It may sometimes be interrupted for maintenance, or because of a provider (hosting, payment, network): I am not responsible for those providers. I fix problems as quickly as I can.

13. What I am responsible for

Ramp Up teaches you how to audit. It does not replace legal advice, and it does not certify that a website complies with RAWeb, WCAG or the law. The audits you carry out, and the conclusions you draw from them, remain your responsibility.

If you buy for a company, a public body or a non-profit, my liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the problem, and does not cover indirect damage, such as lost revenue or data. These limits do not apply to gross negligence or intentional misconduct on my part. If you buy as a consumer, they apply only as far as the law allows.

14. Accessibility

Ramp Up aims for RAWeb 1.1 level AA. If any content gets in your way, write to me: it is mine to fix, and I offer you a workaround in the meantime. The accessibility statement gives the details.

15. Personal data

How I handle your personal data is explained in the privacy policy.

16. Complaints and mediation

If something is wrong, write to me: I answer within 15 days. If we cannot find a solution together and you are a consumer, you can refer the matter free of charge to the National Service of the Mediator of Consumption in Luxembourg.

17. Evidence and communications

Emails, purchase confirmations and the platform’s records (sign-ins, progress, acceptance of these terms) serve as evidence between us. Receipts and invoices are sent in electronic form only.

18. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms, for example when I add a feature. The date at the top of this page shows the last change. The terms that applied when you made a purchase continue to apply to that purchase.

19. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Luxembourg law. If a disagreement arises, please contact me first: most problems are solved quickly that way. Otherwise, the courts of Luxembourg City have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country where you live.

If a clause of these terms is held invalid, the others remain in force. If I do not enforce a clause at some point, I do not give up the right to enforce it later.
